Aileen Wuornos': The Impact of a Story!

It was a tragic event for her as well as the victims and there families!

Greetings All!

Often we are so quick to judge one without being in there shoes. We see these horrible crimes but do we ask ourselves how did they come to such a mad state of mind? What were the events that lead up to these uncontrolled rages, these disturbing events?

Was there anyway to stop it? Or who could have prevented it. On Aileen's tragic journey to destruction she may have been saved. She may have been helped. Though we have choices along the way we don't necessarily have the mind to make the right ones.

By studying the mind behind the madness, we can possibly predict what events will lead to, or help prevent future killings. My mother once told me "That it is easier to judge someone...then to help them!"

Aileen's life was less then loving, she was abandoned young, and put out of her home into the cold for doing what most teens are doing today. Back then teenage pregnancy was not tolerated as well as it is today.

Had she had grown up in today's slightly more tolerant society, would her life been different?
Does society have that great of an impact on someones life? If it does maybe we need to change as a society.

To show more understanding for our neighbor, for the hooker on the corner, for the man in the wheel chair collecting change at the local grocery, or the frustrated banker just getting off work. These people though we do not know them have a delicate mine just as we do, how much to break them?

Todays good deed: When you pass someone on the street you do not know, maybe never seen, instead of lowering you head, turning away, or frowning your face....Smile! Your smile maybe the best thing that happened to them today!

Until We Return!
Keep the Sanity
Lisa
